Our client Scottish Power Energy Networks are currently recruiting for a Business Analyst to join their team based in Glasgow on a contract basis initially. Ideally for this role they are looking for a strong Business Analyst with experience in SCRUM. For further information on this role please see below:
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Establishing collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders across the business and the programme
• Contributing to the overall communication and engagement plan, and devising and distributing the relevant communications
• Providing key stakeholders with the appropriate platforms to contribute to the development of technical solutions
• Eliciting, validating, prioritising, and managing Functional and Non-Functional Requirements
• Collating, analysing, and producing the As-Is and To-Be Process Maps, and completing the gap analysis which will inform requirements and training.
• Supporting the production of testing documentation, including Master Test Plans, Test Scenarios and Cases
• Working in conjunction with the Business Transformation and Change Management departments to produce training material
Skills and Experience
• 5 years previous experience in Business Analysis or Business Change Analysis
• IIBA or BCS Business Analysis Qualifications would be beneficial
• Proven experience in requirements engineering, including writing of user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Experience working in SCRUM
• Strong knowledge in generating process documentation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent facilitation skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret end-user requirements and deliver outputs which fully meet these requirements
• Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on delivering the right thing the first time.
• Knowledge of GIS and Utility Networks would be advantageous but not required
Project Overview
Project Name: GIS Transformation – migration to ESRI Utility Network (UN)
Project Description and Main Goals :
The purpose of the project is to manage obsolescence (by 2025) of our GIS software and deliver a GIS Strategic Roadmap in alignment with global expectations, that takes us from the current position to 2028. The GIS transformation also enables the delivery of several other commitments laid out in our RIIO-ED2 and T2 business plans.
Project Objectives:
• Upgrade of GIS to ESRI Utility Network Avoidance of existing software obsolescence/out of support by 2025
• Supporting components of the commitments made in the ED2 data and digitalisation strategies
• Asset re-positioning through LIDAR and field-based input Visualisation of LIDAR data, flights or drones
• 3D representation of Data BIM, Rising and Lateral Mains representation, increase digitised network size and aligns with reality
