This data analyst position requires an analytic mind and a strong understanding of how data can be manipulated to improve organisation efficiency in the not for profit sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing and reporting on complex data sets to influence strategic decisions within the analytics department at our client’s Ashton-under-Lyne location.

Description

The key responsibilities for the successful Data Analyst will be;

• Interpreting data and analysingresults using statistical techniques
• Developing and implementing data collection systems and other strategies to optimise statistical efficiency and data quality
• Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases
• Identifying, analysing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Working closely with management to prioritise business and information needs
• Locating and defining new process improvement opportunities
• Presenting data-driven reports to the management team

Profile

The successful candidate will;

• Strong analyticalskills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
• Knowledge of and experiencewith reporting packages, databases and programming
• Knowledge of statistics and experienceusing statistical packages for analysing datasets
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics is desirable
