What you’ll do

• Support the Data & Platform Assurance Lead in c onduct ing internal reviews of data and supporting system s to proactively identify areas of risk and non-compliance to internal and external standards . You will work independently or alongside your peers, reporting to the Lead.
• Support in development and implementation of data risk mitigation strategies and controls for data role holders ( data owners/stewards) and application owners .
• Collaborate closely with business units, providing assurance advice on the design and implementation of IT controls to Sky Data managers, project and operational staff to proactively manage key data risks and ensure adherence to policies and standards .
• Support the Data & Platform Assurance Lead to manage the relationship with internal and external auditors, interpreting business challenges, and driving agreed action plans to successful implementation. This includes ensuring all queries are addressed timely , and documented evidence provided is to an appropriate standard .
• Partner with Data Governance and Data Management colleagues to proactively manage and mitigate data risk in the business .
• Concisely summarise and communicate areas of risks or non-compliance upwards , s upport ing the provision of regular reports to leadership on the status of data assurance compliance and data risk management.
• Perform weekly control activity and escalate any issues upwards.
• Perform peer reviews and help drive continuous improvement of data assurance processes.

What you’ll bring

• Highly skilled in audit/assurance, with a focus on data and risk assessments, designing and testing controls, including a strong understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley act and Senior Accounting Officer regime. CISA or equivalent certification is desirable.
• Evidence of developing and implementing effective risk mitigation strategies and controls in complex organisations.
• Proactive mindset to monitor and track improvements and issues so they can be fed into the team’s future workstreams .
• Ability to work to deadlines, managing and flexing your workload across several projects simultaneously and remain ing calm under pressure .
• Meticulous attention to detail in supporting the implementation of data assurance.
• Strong problem-solving, analysis, judgement, influencing, negotiation, and communication skills, including the ability to confidently summarise and communicate complex issues in a non-technical manner .
• Proficiency in collaborating with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to drive improvements in data assurance .
• Strong interest in staying informed about changes in best practice, market trends in data assurance and latest regulatory requirements.
