My Client is about to start a project to migrate data from a legacy case management systems to a new system. To help with the migration, we have a 12 month FTC role available for a Data Migration Manager to come in and oversee the data migration to the new system. You will be involved with the Data Migration planning, Data Quality Management and Risk management.

My client is a Legal services company with offices throughout the UK, and a head office in Leeds. We offer a range of legal services to our clients from, Medical Negligence, Personal Injury, family law and others.

We are about to undergo a 12 month project to update our case management system, moving all our data onto a new platform. The Data Migration Lead will play a key role in the delivery of the project.

Description

The Data Migration Lead will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Data Migration Planning: Develop a detailed plan for the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from the old system to the new case management system.

• Data Quality Management: Ensure that the data being migrated is clean, accurate, and complete. Implement validation and verification processes.

• Collaboration with Other Teams: Work closely with IT, business analysts, and test teams to ensure that data migration aligns with the new system’s requirements.

• Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the data migration process, such as data loss or corruption, and develop mitigation strategies.

• Execution of Data Migration: Oversee the actual migration process, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

• Post-Migration Validation: Conduct post-migration audits and checks to ensure that all data has been correctly transferred and is functioning as expected in the new system.
