We partner with Arup to support contingent recruitment processes.

On behalf of Arup, we are looking for a Data Platform Product Manager for an initial 6 month contract based in London on a hybrid basis.

Purpose of the Role:

The Data Platform Product Manager will join the Global Data Services Data Platforms and Engineering team within Arup’s Digital Technology Group andwill be responsible for:

• Leading Product Management for Arup’s global data platform, defining strategic direction and aligning with business needs.
• Providing leadership for domain-focused Product Managers in areas like Data Science, Engineering, Geospatial, Corporate Services, and Sustainability.
• Delivering core platform management by defining product strategy, managing demand, creating capabilities, and leading the product development process.
• Collaborating with teams (engineering, business analysts, solution architects, etc.) to implement and roll out data platform capabilities.
• Engaging stakeholders to gather feedback, validate ideas, ensure alignment, and elevate customer satisfaction.

What we require from the Data Platform Product Manager:

• Craft compelling value propositions from market requirements.
• Define business cases and carry out value analysis.
• Product road mapping.
• Backlog definition and management for agile deliveries.
• Fluent in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Knowledge of data platforms, management and governance.
• Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable criteria include:

• Experience of product management for modern data platforms in the architecture, engineering and construction industry.
• Background or experience of working in Architecture Engineering and Design Consultancy digital teams.
• Experience of Safe Essential/Large solution in complex environments.
