Director, Product Management – Platform – Digital Transformation

We are seeking an experienced Product Platform Director to join our team in the Clarivate IP Division. This role holder will define and lead the strategy to transform our legacy service platforms into an ecosystem of high value capabilities, that support multiple commercial product lines and deliver a stellar customer experience. The ideal candidate will have a background of running transformation projects in similar disruptive industries such as Digital Payments or Fintech.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

• Circa 10 Years’ Product management expertise, technical knowledge, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to drive successful transformation initiatives.
• Have related experience in large scale Digital Transformation and Platform Modernisation initiatives utilising AI/ML
• Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proven leadership in transformative roles within companies from disruptive industries such as Digital payments or fintech.
• Visionary thinking with a knack for translating disruptive ideas into actionable plans.
• Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to digital decision-making.
• MBA a bonus.

What will you be doing in this role?

• Lead the strategic planning and execution of the transformation journey for our product platform, ensuring alignment with the organization’s overall business goals.
• Oversee the integration and modernization of multiple legacy platforms into a modular but unified, AI/ML-driven system, fostering efficiency and scalability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, data science, operations, and other departments to ensure a seamless transition and optimal performance of the product platform.
• Lead and inspire a team of Product Managers and SMEs helping to develop and implement technology roadmaps, incorporating agile methodologies to enhance adaptability and responsiveness throughout the transformation process.
• Drive innovation by identifying and incorporating emerging technologies in digital business transformation, particularly in the fields of AI and ML, to enhance the capabilities of the product platform.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, providing regular updates and garnering support for the transformation initiatives.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, driving a mindset of innovation and excellence within the product platform team.
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of our intellectual property solutions and drive continuous improvement, with a particular focus on service-related KPIs.
• Manage the product budget, allocate resources effectively, and optimize cost-to-value ratios for both services and software.

About the Team

This role will report to the VP, Product and will lead a team of 3 Product Managers/Business Analysts as well as collaborating extensively with teams across the IP Division at Clarivate.

Hours of Work

Full-time, permanent role based in London on a hybrid basis, 2 days’ per week in the office. Some travel expected.
