E-Commerce and Marketing Manager

Basic 50,000 – 55,000 plus 25% bonus and benefits
Our client is a long-standing luxury interiors retailer that over the past 100 years has bought up all of its properties and as it continues to expand physically and digitally a new role has been created within their Birmingham City Centre Head Office.
The E-Commerce Manager supports the Marketing, Communications and Buying teams, the primary purpose of this role is to ensure that all of the businesses corporate web activities are working effectively, a literal shop window for the organisation and its products. All content must accurately reflect the brand, be optimised for discoverability and be kept accurate and up to date.
The E-Commerce Manager will work with a small team and assist them with the creation and maintenance of all online content (ensuring synergy between them). This will range from updates of existing content to creation of landing pages and entirely new sections of the website. With a thorough knowledge of best practices and user experience, the role holder will shape and plan content projects with wider teams before executing on delivery. As such, working collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation will be required to maximise the success of the website against departmental goals. The role holder will use knowledge in SEO to ensure all content is optimised for visibility.
Skills
Good knowledge and experience of technologies that support a web presence including (but not limited to) HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Experience with inputting into content management systems
In-depth working knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
Experience with SEO and web crawling software.
Strong working knowledge of content strategy and translation of knowledge into effective web content.
Ability to craft engaging user journeys through understanding how content and campaigns fit together.
Knowledge of legal and data protection standards relating to web systems.
Thorough knowledge of current trends in web design and content structure.
Excellent communication skills, with versatility among both technical and non-technical audiences.
Co-ordinate and creation of images, videos, social media posts and copy alongside the marketing and creative departments
Ensure digital and traditional marketing campaigns are aligned
Project Management of a significant colour rendering project
Basic salary 50,000 – 55,000 plus 25% bonuses, above average pension, health and dental care plan and opportunities to progress further.
