Department Summary

The Hogarth Technology Team are responsible for a wide range of hardware and software solutions. Spanning Private and Public Cloud Infrastructure, across self-managed, high-speed networks to transfer large amounts of production content, the Technology services provided need to be ‘always-on’ and deliver continuous transformation of our global estate. Our highly skilled team of engineers, administrators, analysts, developers and project managers are responsible for a wide array of bespoke and industry standard tools, providing our clients with the most efficient and innovative technologies in our sector.

What does an Architect do at Hogarth?

The Architect will play a vital role in designing and building out our application landscape. They will understand our complex and diverse application and infrastructure ecosystem. As an excellent communicator they will be able to translate this complexity into simplified business language to articulate the value of a specific technology or decision. Working across all areas of the business they will be comfortable with ambiguity and have a passion for solving complicated and challenging problems. They will be a self-starter constantly striving for improving the status quo.

Responsibilities

• Working across Work Management, Asset Lifecycle Management and ERP products to identify priorities for change to enable delivery at pace
• Lead and influence the delivery of integrations and functionality across a variety of applications in use globally across Hogarth
• Own the enterprise architecture function and work with business, technology and data teams to help deliver our short, mid and long-term vision
• Consult and support collaboration across the business and technology
• Understand the organisation’s ecosystem and its interdependencies, including reference architectures
• Guide the organisation to make appropriate business, technology and data decisions by recommending reuse, sustainability and scalability, to achieve value for money and reduce risk
• Collaborate and consult with stakeholders to assure business, technology and data decisions are aligned with enterprise architecture strategy

Reporting lines and key stakeholders

This role reports to the Global Head of Product & Engineering, based in London, UK.

You will work closely with globally distributed Business and Technology team members.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in IT
• Experience in Media Production or similar fields preferred
• Ability to grasp complex problems and translate them into non-technical language
• Ability to communicate with all levels and roles across the organisation
• Ability to solve problems effectively and quickly
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to juggle multiple projects at once
• Proven knowledge of system architecture
• Demonstrable experience working in technical role
• Ability to accurately document and create appropriate technical architectural diagrams
