Finance Data Reporting Analyst – Reinsurance

We are currently hiring for a Finance Reporting Analyst with Technical Insurance Accounting experience to join one of our Insurance clients on a 12 month contract.

Inside IR35 – Hybrid- 2 days a week onsite

Responsibilities:

• Review historic source system data prepared by the Data Solutions Workstream and compare to Legacy data provided by Actuarial, MI, Finance.
• Support the development and ongoing execution of the various Alteryx models used to consolidate large data volumes from the Data Solutions Workstream.
• Perform detailed validation work and analytical review on the data collected and address or escalate any unexpected results or inconsistencies in data.
• Support and assist with system improvements and documentation of controls and procedures in respect of new or updated migration approach.
• Support the FPSL workstream through data migration and testing of existing build or various processes and calculations within the technical subledger.
• Understand the current and future internal and external reporting landscape and identify how these may need to change to support the needs of the business and future Finance requirements.

Experience:

• ACA/CIMA/ACCA Qualified accountant preferred but not essential.
• Strong experience of Insurance Technical Accounting
• Up to date knowledge of US, UK, LUX, Spanish GAAP and IFRS desirable but not essential.
• Alteryx, or any other analytic platforms experience desirable.
• Advanced excel skills and ability to manipulate large data sets using excel.
• Financial reporting experience
• Experience working on large data sets
• Experience working on Financial transformation projects
