Responsibilities:

As the Head of Infrastructure, you will be specifically aligned with one of our client’s portfolios, overseeing large-scale cross-technology and managed services transformation engagements within the public sector. Your role will involve delivering strategic consulting and leading significant ongoing service engineering efforts, acting as a bridge between business demands and technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and direct infrastructure architecture, leveraging extensive experience in designing and implementing technology solutions comprising multiple technologies and business applications.
• Drive innovative improvements to ongoing managed services to enhance efficiency and performance.
• Ensure the IT strategy aligns with the organization’s business strategy, addressing both commercial and operational aspects within the public sector.
• Identify and analyse requirements and customer problems, developing suitable architectures, and leading a virtual team across Europe.
• Define and own the IT Mission, deploying short, medium, and long-term strategic IT Plans aligned with the organization’s business needs in the public sector.
• Facilitate the timely identification and delivery of appropriate solutions to address business requirements and priorities within the public sector.
• Capable of building high-performance teams and managing an insource/outsource model effectively within the public sector.
• Develop a robust Security Architecture and stay updated on security trends to ensure the organization’s data and assets are well protected within the public sector.
• Implement effective Disaster Recovery designs and Business Continuity plans to ensure business resilience within the public sector.
• Manage vendor relationships, outsource service providers, and negotiate contracts effectively within the public sector.
• Maintain enterprise-level license agreements and manage SLAs with outsourcing partners within the public sector.

Additional Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Infrastructure core technology operations, including significant experience in Cloud and Infrastructure in at least two different organizations within the public sector.
• Proven experience in managing transformation and change, particularly dealing with multiple suppliers and delivering projects with a strong focus on Azure Platforms within the public sector.
• Expertise in Cloud, Service Delivery, Technology Services, Infrastructure & Cloud migration, including LAN/WAN, Wintel, SAN, NAS & Storage technologies within the public sector.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for effective interaction with executive stakeholders within the public sector.
• Strong influencer, capable of gaining buy-in from stakeholders and subordinates within the public sector.
• Demonstrable experience in Agile, Transformation & Change Management, Project Management, MSP, Prince 2 & ITIL (foundation or practitioner certified) within the public sector.
• Deep understanding of industry best practices in process, controls, Information Security, and standards within Software Applications/Development/Operations Directorship within the public sector.
