Head of Investment Solutions

We are looking to recruit an experience Head of Investment Solutions to take ownership and responsibility for the design, manufacture, monitoring and maintenances of ‘standard’ portfolios within the investments team. The ‘standard’ portfolios incorporate all standard MPS solutions (Active, Passive, Pactive & Responsible) across all platforms, together with the portfolios managed via the AJ Bell ICVC.

Working closely with the Head of Investment Research, Head of Investment Partnerships and Head of Investment Operations, the role requires reporting as directed by the Investments Director and leadership of the team’s investment analysts.

What does the job involve?

The key responsibilities of the role are to:

• Strategic & Tactical Asset Allocation frameworks
• Working with Research function to devise appropriate portfolio implementation strategies.
• Deployment of portfolio implementation strategies
• Development and production of Investment Management MI
• Provide Reports to and attendance at Departmental committees.
• Recruit, train, mentor and develop Departmental employee.
• Supporting and enabling the business to achieve its regulatory requirements, including consumer duty.

Knowledge, skills, and experience:

• Experience working with multi-asset portfolio management in a similar senior position.
• Highly numerate.
• Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently manage a complex workload.
• Highly innovative.
• Interpersonal & communication skills.
• Report writing skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
