We are proud to be working with our client, a CRO based in Gloucester, on the hunt for a Head of Quality Assurance to lead their QA team. Our client proudly holds over 40 years of experience conducting non-clinical regulatory safety testing of toxicology studies for their worldwide client base. As Head of Quality Assurance, your main responsibilities will include ensuring that all operations comply with regulations, developing new procedures, processes and key performance indicators, identifying risk areas, and implementing appropriate risk mitigation strategies. The primary function of the QA unit is to monitor procedures, facilities and studies for compliance with Good Laboratory Practice.

Responsibilities:

• Further improve systems and processes within the business
• Ensuring that all operations conform to and comply with GLP regulations
• Developing new procedures, processes and key performance indicators and identifying areas of risk and implementing appropriate risk mitigation strategies
• Liaise with regulatory agencies, host regulatory audits, and develop Quality Management Systems

What we’re looking for:

• Would have worked in a similar role previously and will demonstrate an understanding of GLP
• A track record in managing teams and a broad interest in quality systems and how they can drive business improvement
• Relevant knowledge to be able to make your mark within this role, and you will be analytical and structured in your way of thinking
• It is essential that you have excellent communication and relationship skills and that you can build rapport easily
