About the Team
Thales SIX UK (Secure Communications and Information Systems) have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Sales professional to join the Thales UK Secure Communications and Protection business line.
You will be leading the Naval Communications Sales Team and integrated multifunctional capture teams. You will also be collaborating with the Naval Communications portfolio management team and the Thales UK Key Account Manager for the Royal Navy to grow the Naval Communications portfolio.
You will be required to establish strong internal collaborative relationships with sister businesses within Thales UK and the Thales SIX Business Lines to develop and win new business opportunities utilising Thales naval products, technologies and services from both the UK and France.
Our Opportunity
You will be responsible for the identification, qualification, development and bid of Thales Naval Communications products and services into the UK and export military markets in co-ordination with the Naval Communications portfolio team, functions, Thales UK and Thales France business lines. You will also have responsibility for managing and developing the current Naval Communications Sales Team (currently one Sales Manager) and growing the team to meet the Naval Communications business growth targets.
As well as this, you will manage the development and execution of Capture Plans including win strategy, hot buttons, Price to Win, stakeholder mapping and engagement, BP budget, resourcing and return on investment. Additionally, you will oversee the development and delivery of product/service marketing plans, in co-ordination with the functions and Thales UK to include marketing collateral, attendance at events and exhibitions, sponsorships and donations, demonstrations etc.
Another important aspect of this role will require you to support the development and agreement of the business growth strategy for the portfolio to include pipeline definition, business cases, business winning resource planning and product/services strategy in accordance with the MYB (Multi-Year Budget) and SBP (Strategic Business Plan) process. In addition, you will need to manage the development and career progression of individual team members as part of the Business Growth function.
On top of this, you will need to ensure Business Winning Governance, Travel & Subsistence, Sponsorships & Donations, Gifts & Donations and Ethics policies, processes are understood and followed. As well as ensuring UK Government Export Licence requirements are met for all export opportunities.
Please note: You will be expected to travel as part of this role. Travel to other sites around the UK and internationally will be 70% of this role.

About You

Previous experience working with the MOD and DE&S in a procurement space.
Experience of working with the Royal Naval.
A track record of successfully identifying, qualifying, developing and winning orders.
Sales Team management and development experience.
Familiarity with business winning process, capture management and best practice.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
