Role Summary

As an Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer you will be responsible for designing, building and supporting complex infrastructure and cloud-based services, capturing non-functional requirements and defining technical solutions to proposals (RFPs). You will be expected to work closely with the clients’ IT teams and other Cluster colleagues (e.g. PMs) in order to achieve the goals of each project. The role also necessitates close co-operation with other companies within Reply. Flexibility and mobility are key as there will be requirements to spend time onsite with our clients to enable delivery of the first-class services Cluster provides. The successful candidate will couple pragmatism with technical ability and will demonstrate their passion for technology and desire to help our customers be successful. While not a primary aspect of the role, maintaining commercial awareness and identifying additional opportunities within clients, leveraging wider Cluster and Azure offerings is a key part of every client engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development of technical architectures, implementation strategies, migration plans and roadmaps
• Input in the development of projects and develop presentations and business cases which resonate with client stakeholders and deliver value
• Support the delivery of infrastructure projects such as design and delivery of Landing Zones, migration of workloads from on-prem to Azure, deployment and configuration of network/security appliances
• Provide expert advice and assist in the resolution of project implementation issues or major incidents and support the delivery of new solutions
• Assess emerging technologies, stay abreast of industry trends and make recommendations to improve our current offerings or develop new ones
• Effectively mediate between Cluster’s project team and the client’s IT team or other stakeholders

About The Candidate

• Bachelors or Master’s degree (2.1 or Merit) in Computer Science, IT or a related subject
• Experience working as a consultant or an engineer (or similar role) for a large organisation with a complex IT estate delivering infrastructure/cloud solutions
• You will be knowledgable in the following Microsoft and Azure technologies: Active Directory, ADFS, Exchange, DNS, SQL, Azure ASR, RBAC, Express Route, Vnets etc.
• You’ve got experience with network technologies (TCP/IP, WAN, switches, routers, load-balancers) and security concepts (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, PKI)
• Knowledge of scripting/automated provisioning (PowerShell, ARM template/JSON, Terraform, Bicep), data platforms (Azure SQL, Cosmos DB)and containers (Kubernetes and/or Docker) would be a strong asset.
