Job Title: Integration Test and Trials Engineer
Location: Scotstoun. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role
Salary: Up to £ 50,800 dependent on skills and qualifications
Please note you will be based on site around 3 days per week, increasing to 5 days when we get to the Integration and Trials stage of the project. We are also looking for you to initially travel and work on site at our Portsmouth Portsdown Technology Park for 1 week per month.
What you’ll be doing:
Generate, deliver and review Acceptance, Assurance and Integration Trials documentation as directed by the T26 CS Integration & Trials Manager
Research and inclusion of other platform (e.g. T45, T23 & QEC) integration packages and the ‘pull through’ of information as necessary
Undertake the preparations for, conduct, analysis and formal reporting of acceptance, assurance and integration trials to demonstrate requirements associated with individual systems
Perform interface fault finding, diagnostics and testing to ensure continuity of signal path on system interface cables
Conduct data recordings and analysis to support integration evidence capture
Generate Trials Reports then compile and present Acceptance and Assurance evidence
Support the T26 CSE Delivery Managers and wider T26 CS Trials team through the provision of specialist engineering expertise as required
To use and assist in the development of the T26 CS Trials Management, Observation Reporting and other database toolsets
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
In-depth knowledge of Combat System Equipment used in the Maritime Environment and experience of system integration and trials
Proven experience of Combat systems in trials and/or operational environment
Ability to generate Integration Trials documentation from Requirements, Interface Specifications and other Supplier documentation
Ability to conduct trials schedules, then analyse and report results
Desirable:
Knowledge and experience using integration tools and other Test Equipment
Understanding and ability to manipulate CS Design and Trials information stored within database toolsets
Engineers at all levels should possess an academic qualification in Engineering or other related STEM subjects as well as specific (either academic or professional) qualifications and become recognised as Incorporated or Chartered Engineers through an appropriate recognised professional institution. Engineers are encouraged, and will be supported, to achieve the relevant accreditation. Preference will be given to candidates who are already professionally registered.

Our T26 Integration Test & Trials Team:
As a Integration Test and Trials Engineer within the T26 Integration Test & Trials team, you will provide engineering expertise and experience in Support of the T26 Integration Programme. As part of a team of Trials Engineers in Portsdown Technology Park they will be conducting de-risking activities before integrating the Combat System on the Platforms and supporting the installation, setting to work, trials and acceptance of the Combat System.
This will include the development of, conduct, analysis of and support to Combat System Equipment integration, acceptance, assurance and de-risking activities to be conducted at the Land Based Integration Facility, Supplier’s sites and on-board ships.
