This successful FMCG manufacturer has a new opportunity for a Junior Commercial Finance Analyst due to an internal promotion. If you are at the start of your finance career and want to develop your skills in the FMCG arena, surround by a supportive, experienced and knowledgeable Finance function, this is an ideal move.

The business is dynamic and has a progressive and ambitious culture at its heart. The Senior Leadership Team has ensured Finance are fully integrated and work in collaboration with all the other functions.

What will the role involve?

Being a fast-paced manufacturing site, the finance team are integral to every part of the operation. The day-to-day elements of the role will involve:

• Evaluate sales trends, customer profitability, and product performance, to advise on improvements.
• Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial reports, forecasts, and variance assessments.
• Develop and manage reports with the analysis to aid in pricing, promotions, and margin evaluations.
• Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring consistency with business goals and precision.
• Collaborate with other departments to monitor financial outcomes against KPIs.
• Help prepare and update financial models and scenario analyses that aid in decision making.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data across reporting systems.

The backgrounds we are looking for on this role are:

• Candidates with energy who are really wanting to develop their finance career.
• Part qualified or working towards ACCA or CIMA
• Strong excel skills
• Knowledge of financial reporting systems
• An ability to demonstrate strong analytical and numerical ability in current role
• Good communicator both written and in person – able to build relationships with other teams
• Experience of manufacturing / logistics / retail environments would be an advantage
