Working Pattern:Permanent – Flexible First options available
Working in our Major Projects Solutions Team, initially reporting to the Solutions Director, you will be an experienced senior energy systems analyst, you will hold a pivotal role to lead our small, expert team of carbo-techno-economic modellers and analysts. You will be a highly competent player-manager with a strong blend of engineering, commercial and data analytics credentials.
You will spearhead the techno-economic design, assessment, and optimisation of complex, integrated energy systems and microgrid models – developed using bespoke high resolution decision support tools primarily in Python. You will continue to build our functional capability in this specialist area and ensure we remain at the forefront of local energy systems innovation.
This is an exciting and powerful role as you will help set out the solution and course for major investment in local energy systems. The successful candidate will therefore have a genuine opportunity to position SSE as a partner of choice for our whole system propositions and ground-breaking local energy solutions. You will develop the analytical tools that solve some of the toughest decarbonisation challenges, deploying you and your teams’ experience, ingenuity, diligence, and creativity to meet multiple complex business objectives and client outcomes.
