ABOUT QUELL.

Quell is on a mission to make fitness gaming incredible. Our launch title lets you get fit fighting, running, leaping and dodging your way through an unforgettable fantasy world. We’ve built a game-changing wearable device which adds resistance, powerful haptics and motion tracking to the player’s actions without the need for a VR set-up.

The market is massive; our pre-launch marketing has already generated $1.5m in preorder revenue. We’ve secured over $15m in funding from top-tier VCs and angels, including Khosla Ventures and the founders of Twitch.

YOUR MISSION.

As Quell’s Lead Analyst, your mission is to identify opportunities to improve our games, deliver better fitness, and grow our audience. You’ll work closely with the Product, Design and Executive teams to bring quantitative and qualitative insights into key product decisions across the company, ensuring that the team has the clarity to move in the right direction. As Quell grows, you’ll help shape and build the full analytics team.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES.

Design and implement data collection systems

Establish and track meaningful KPIs

Build and share insights from performance reports and dashboards

Mine telemetry and sales data to spot barriers to and opportunities for improvement

Design, run and assess the results of test-and-learn experiments

Find opportunities to grow by analysing our customers and broader market

Deliver insightful and actionable analysis and hypotheses to the rest of the company

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR.

Adept at working with data to make decisions and improve products.

Able to clearly articulate hypotheses, perform analysis, extract key stories, present findings and make suggestions

Excellent communication with game designers, producers, programmers, and executives.

Strong experience in SQL queries and Excel

Experience with designing and setting up dashboards e.g. Looker, Tableau, PowerBI

Great analytical and quantitative skills

Experience within or a passion for games

EXTRA CREDIT.

Exposure to commercial methodologies e.g. market sizing, competitive analysis, forecasting

Familiarity with statistical and probabilistic analysis methods.

Experience within AA/AAA games.

Experience in Python, R, or machine learning.
