Our client, a leading Aerospace and Defence organisation, are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Material Controller. As a Material Controller, your primary responsibility is to maintain production schedules that align with the Master Production Schedule (MPS). You will oversee the entire manufacturing chain to guarantee that all products meet the required build standards and are produced within specified time frames. In addition, you will be responsible for managing work in progress status within SAP and expediting internal items to ensure compliance with the MPS.

Key Responsibility Areas:

• Review, release, and manage internal Production/Service orders in accordance with the MPS/Customer plan.
• Using SAP to manage planning, production and stock
• Expedite work through the production areas on a daily basis and assess the capacity of manufacturing teams.
• Schedule Production/Service Orders using SAP.
• Utilise Teamcentre to ensure that the most up-to-date drawings and work instructions are added to Production/Service orders.
• Coordinate operations conducted by vendors with Delivery and Logistics teams.
• Implement FRB/MRB actions and attend MRBs to ensure that dispositioned materials are handled appropriately.
• Collaborate with Industrial Engineering to ensure accurate rework descriptions and timings are included.
• Facilitate the delivery of kits to and from all manufacturing and engineering areas.
• Communicate any potential delays that may impact MPS achievement and propose re-prioritisation solutions.
• Participate in daily Production reviews and become a key member of the Integrated Product Team (IPT).
• Maintain close communication with the Material Supply team regarding material availability for the agreed plan.

Ideal Person

• Essential experience with SAP across production, planning and stock
• Previous planning experience in a production environment.
• Ability to meet deadlines and excellent organisational skills.
• Analytical and logical nature with a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
• Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic production environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of ESD and FOD awareness is an advantage.

This role is a 6 month temporary contract with the potential to extend

Flexible working hours, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
