Material Supply Officer / Yeovil / 14.40 per hour

As a Material Supply Officer, you will play a critical role in coordinating material deliveries from our company sub-tier to meet specified program requirements. You will work closely with the Supply Chain Manager and the commodity team leader to ensure the delivery of products and services aligns with industry best practices and meets both company and customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Order Management: Review and manage the order book for accuracy, addressing outstanding acknowledgements and forecast dates. Negotiate changes aligned with SAP exception messages.
• Supplier Performance: Identify and escalate cases of poor supplier performance and critical delivery issues. Ensure adherence to Lead Hand (LH) requirements.
• Invoice Management: Clear blocked invoices within agreed supplier payment terms set by the contract.
• Communication: Stay informed about company developments and effectively share knowledge with colleagues and the wider business.
• Data Management: Maintain and organise information and resources for easy access by authorised personnel.
• Supplier KPI Reviews: Organise and manage supplier Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reviews, presenting findings to management. Coordinate regular supplier reviews and ensure relevant personnel attendance.
• Quality Control: Raise and expedite concessions/production permits. Review Quality Notifications (QNs) for resolution with suppliers and relevant parties.
• Technical Resolution Meetings: Arrange and coordinate technical resolution meetings involving suppliers, Engineering, and Design.
• Working Capital: Contribute to achieving working capital targets through effective order book management

Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven supply chain and materials management experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in SAP or similar supply chain management software.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team.

This is an one year temporary role with the potential to become permanent
