NetbackUp Storage Engineer

Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a NetbackUp Storage Engineer.

You will be required to use an FCSA Accredited Umbrella Company for this role.

Key Requirements:

– We are looking to have a good profile with very good expertise on NetBackup, NetBackup Appliance and Data Domain.
– NetBackup Installation & configuration (L3).
– Perform regular system maintenance; Incident solving; Change implementation; Patch management; Analyze/solve performance and security issues Complex backup scheduling maintenance also includes helping solve complex problems related to operating system; databases; Middleware or applications teams.
– Hands-on experience on Veritas Appliances and Data Domain appliances.
– Configuration and troubleshooting of SAN Client backup (Fiber Transport).
– Clear understanding on SLP and Vault.
– Upgrading and patching the Backup Servers.
– Oracle/SQL/ESX/NDMP Integration with Netbackup.
– Managing Internal Database of NetBackup.
– Should also have good understanding on TCP/IP concepts.
– Need to have clear understanding on SAN Infrastructure and Architecture.
– Strong experience on Linux and Scripting (preferably: Shell, python, puppet).
– Understanding of functional requirements and translation of business requirements into technical specifications.
