Location: Farnborough (Hybrid)
Job Type: Contract (6 months)
Day Rate: £480 Inside

Are you an experienced Oracle Developer looking to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment? We seek a skilled professional to join our team and contribute to developing and supporting financial applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Oracle Development

• Deliver changes to established financial applications in line with project requirements.
• Work collaboratively within a development team, sharing ideas, performing code reviews, and assisting where required.
• Provide production support for applications, troubleshoot issues, resolve problems, and conduct root cause analysis.
• Work from written specifications or JIRA stories, refining solutions in a structured environment.
• Collaborate with analysts to refine requirements, define changes, and provide technical expertise.
• Assist testers in functional testing of changes.
• Maintain documentation and knowledge base within JIRA and Confluence.
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills, taking initiative, and managing tasks independently.

Quality Assurance

• Ensure timely and high-quality development work to maintain stable operations.

Skills & Experience:

• Extensive experience in Oracle development.
• Strong Oracle PL/SQL programming expertise.
• Experience in Windows client and server-based applications.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio C# (beneficial but not essential).
• Ability to work within a team, following shared coding practices and version control procedures.
• Proactive in identifying and providing solutions in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, capable of working closely with programmers and analysts.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Windows client use.
