Role Responsibilities
This role is part of the E.ON Next Planning & Performance Team and offers the successful candidate the opportunity to play their part in helping us create experiences that our customers rave about.
The Performance Coach will join the Planning & Performance Team and will work in partnership with our Senior Operational Leaders and their teams, providing supplementary coaching to Operational Managers and Team Leaders to embed technical, leadership and coaching skills and, in turn, increase performance to enable them to make the best decisions.
As a Performance Coach, you will drive performance with exceptional trend reporting and insight, highlighting where more targeted needs may exist.
The Performance Coach role presents a great opportunity to develop your performance coaching skills further in E.ON Next by working across a number of different operational areas to help deliver the best possible service for our customers. You should already be confident in your ability to develop and embed a culture of open and constructive feedback to enable personal growth and development.

Critical required performance coach capabilities are as follows:-
The ability to deploy your own great all round leader and expert coaching skills, to form trusted relationships and create a safe environment, conducive to learning
Drawing on specialists and experts as required to shape effective coaching and development interventions
Working closely with performance, planning and data analysts to understand trends, priorities and operational limitations to shape and inform development interventions to ensure maximum impact
Enabling leaders to make the best decisions and drive performance with exceptional trend reporting and insight, highlighting where more targeted needs may be appropriate
Working closely with performance, planning and data analysts to feed in trends, observations or request more detailed information to support observations or decisions
Analysing performance reporting to identify trends and developing actionable insight
Driving performance by supporting and coaching leaders with target setting, implementation, training and performance management conversations and activities with their teams
Identifying knowledge, skill and behavioural development needs and working closely with L&D to create training to meet organisational needs
Inspiring your own team and those around you by role modelling E.ON Next behaviours and values
Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging and supporting your colleagues to identify and share opportunities for improvement
Role modelling of coaching standards across operational areas to support the embedding of sustained, positive change
Skill Set for Role
Essential:
Previous experience of coaching leaders to deliver improved performance outcomes
Ability to connect performance outcomes to budgetary commercial outcomes
Previous experience in working with or influencing senior leaders
Excellent stakeholder management skills combined with strong communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate ideas and feedback to convey insights in a way that’s easy to understand
Ability to set specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound (SMART) goals to ensure progress and achievement
Previous experience of working through others to achieve outstanding results and to think on your feet to help overcome obstacles and challenges
Ability to analyse data to determine trends and root cause in order to drive improvement
Previous experience in operational management with a particular focus on ways of working, Lean Six Sigma and operational excellence
Pro-user of data tools such as Excel/ Google Sheets
Desirable:
Energy industry experience
Six Sigma Accreditation (yellow belt or alternative coaching accreditation)

E.ON Next’s working model – how do we work?
Our people are based across the country and our locations are Leicester, Nottingham, Bolton and London. This role will be based out of Bolton, Leicester or Nottingham.
We’re completely flexible in how we work which is a hybrid of office and remote working.
We don’t expect our people to be in the office all the time. Our offices are resources used for team meetings, joint on-site working and where people need to work in the office if they can’t work from home effectively.
This role is likely to be required on site 2-3 days per week, on an “as needed” basis.
