Morgan Hunt is currently working with a housing firm, based in West London, in their search for an Interim Procurement Business Partner specialising in property services.

As a successful post holder, you will be implementing a category management approach across the Group to ensure that goods and services are procured efficiently and achieve value for money through providing procurement, commercial expertise, and market knowledge.

This position will offer internal opportunity, progression, and a wide range of experience where you will have a strong impact on the development of the organisation’s procurement strategies.

This is a hybrid working position that will require you to attend the office 1 day a week.

Job Title: Procurement Business Partner

Location: Hybrid (1 day a week)

Day Rate: £500

Job Type: Contract

Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement category and procurement strategies within a Greenfield area of spend, aligning with business objectives, stakeholder views, market innovation, and legislative requirements.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders at all levels to deliver cohesive approaches to goods, services, and works delivery.
• Monitor and review third-party spend for compliance and value for money, identifying opportunities for cash able and non-cash able savings.
• Establish and maintain an accurate forward plan of contracts covering current and future requirements.
• Provide expert advice on internal Procurement Policy/Procedures, Public Contracts Regulations, and relevant legislation, ensuring compliance across the Group.
• Lead high-value complex sourcing projects, taking responsibility for market engagement, option appraisals, procurement processes, evaluations, negotiations, and contract execution.
• Guide or lead in managing key contracts to ensure the delivery of high-quality, value-for-money goods and services. Report supplier performance accurately to stakeholders.
• Conduct detailed supply market research and engagement to inform business planning, identify opportunities, and engage with key suppliers at a senior level.
• Present data/spend findings and option appraisals to senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Procurement Analyst and Procurement Managers/Officers to capture spend data for informed decisions and identify savings opportunities.

Personal Specification

• Educated to degree level with MCIPS accreditation.
• Procurement experience within Property and Construction Services.
• Experience in developing category strategies in a greenfield area of spend.
• Knowledge of commercial contract terms and conditions.
