Senior Finance Analyst – Business Partner

Reporting to the Director, Finance Business Partners, this position sits within the Finance Business Partnering team and wider Central Commercial Finance team, you will provide an interface between Finance and the Product and Tech leaders and their teams with Expedia Business Services, the B2B division of Expedia Group.

You will own the business relationship with the teams and help influence decision making, ensuring prioritization decisions are aligned to our strategic goals, alongside providing professional rigor to the financials driving our investment decisions.

What you’ll do:

• Support the Finance Leadership team in understanding the key project / initiatives being undertaken by the teams of the function.

• Provide input, insight and guidance into the strategic planning cycle in conjunction with Expedia Business Services strategy team and the Leadership Team.

• Drive critical reasoning with the teams, supporting in ensuring that the teams are driving the best long-term value creation decisions

• Effectively demonstrate the benefits of Finance Business Partnering to the functional teams, developing relationships with key personnel at all levels in the organization

• Influence the business teams to help them understand the financial impact of initiatives, providing objective, data-driven viewpoint challenging priorities where necessary

• Assist in the completion of business cases that clearly highlight the business value and sensitivities associated with the initiative

• Devise and deliver reporting that clearly and concisely tracks the impact of key initiatives on our forecast through development to BAU

• Provide ad hoc finance support as and when required

Who you are:

• 2+ years of experience in Finance business partnering

• Highly analytical, driving insight and strategy across a broad range of business issues

• Someone who always builds a compelling vision from the numbers and communicates clearly with all stakeholders

• A strong influencer, with the ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders of different levels

• Creative thinker & self-starter

• A love of learning new things and curious about new parts of the business

• Proven ability to analyze data to solve business problems and provide strong business insight

• Proven ability to interpret and present data in a visually compelling format to financial and non-finance audiences

• Experience in a business partnering finance role in a fast paced, changing environment

• Experienced and enthusiastic working in dynamic, entrepreneurial environments

• Someone who thrives in large, global, fast moving organizations
