An Overview of the role As a Senior Manager in the UK Automotive team, contribute expertise to the dynamic auto industry. Your deep insight, broad network, and hands-on experience in software-driven transformation in OEMs will be key.
The ideal candidate brings solid auto software experience, excelling in sales, client growth, and business development. They must grasp industry standards like AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, MISRA, and A-SPICE, playing a vital role in innovating software for complex vehicles. Similarly, Over-the-Air software updates and connected vehicle features required significant change in the broader OEM organisation to sustain successful operations.
Proficiency in agile methods and a track record in successful client management and exceeding expectations are key. You will excel in creating robust software frameworks, ensuring compliance, and possessing a strategic mindset for tech and business passion. You’ll be equally comfortable in working with business people, IT people and engineers.

You’ll potentially work on a huge variety of projects (some larger than others), so you could gain lots of experience in a short amount of time.
Why this role? As a Senior Manager in the business you’ll help set the direction, driving forward the business, model our values and behaviours, and coach and develop junior members of the team. Key expectations from this role include:
• Build a UK go-to-market approach for software-driven business transformation with vehicle OEMs, working with other Capgemini counterparts in Engineering and Technology.
• Build a transformation and delivery framework for vehicle software delivery, using relevant industry standards
• Build a partner ecosystem of complimentary vehicle software vendors and innovators, working with other Capgemini technology teams
• Help build a capability around Agile/ SAFe for to help client teams improve their software delivery methods and quality, working with our Business Technology consulting teams.
• Advise clients on software operating models, frameworks, organisation design and governance.
• Lead client transformation projects relating to vehicle software, working with other Capgemini teams in Engineering and Technology
• Reporting to the Head of Automotive in Capgemini Invent UK.
We’d love to meet with someone with: Hands-on experience leading vehicle software projects and managing broader transformation initiatives in automotive OEMs.
• A balance of experience in technology, engineering and business transformation.
• A strategic view on the evolving challenge and opportunities to do with the ‘software-defined vehicle’.
• Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.
• Entrepreneurial flare and experience in proposition building and delivery.
• Currently working in a major Consulting firm and/or in industry but having a Consulting background.
• Business development – utilising a combination of the organisation’s broader pre-existing relationships, company relationships and your network, you’ll be generating c.£1m of consulting revenues.
