About the Team
The Technology & Foundry Marketing Team communicate the benefits and value of the latest 5G Era mobile technologies to the global mobile industry and key vertical industry markets through a range of digital and physical communications media. Working within GSMA Mutual, this role provides the opportunity to influence and accelerate the growth the of the world’s mobile market focused on the vital area s of fraud prevention and enhancing mobile security. The Technology & Foundry Marketing Team is a small team of nine marketing professionals experts in specific fields of technology marketing with common aim of further scaling the global mobile platform .
About the Role
The Senior Marketing Manager will be primarily responsible for producing and implementing marketing plans for engagement with Fraud and Security audiences related to mobile technology, networks and services, with the objective to maintain or increase the protection of mobile operator technology and infrastructure and customer identity, security and privacy such that the industry’s reputation stays strong and mobile operators remain trusted partners in the ecosystem.
This includes marketing strategy, requirements, positioning, messaging, communications, digital and collaborative marketing. The role requires working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including the GSMA Brand & Content, PR and Technology teams, GSMA Ltd, leading mobile industry companies and customer/vertical security influencers.
Experience of industry partnerships, events, data base focused marketing activity, website, social and email marketing campaigns is especially important. Occasional international travel will be required . Success will be measured by the global adoption of fraud prevention and security best practices and the level of engagement with the target security audiences.
To p lan and deliver the marketing strategy & activity for selected fraud prevention & security technologies including the production of an agreed marketing strategy and detailed delivery plan. The d elivery of marketing activities associated with the technology areas including internal and external messaging and performance reporting .
Support associated external collaborative group including operators, ecosystem stakeholders and sponsors . Work with project team to support the delivery of the annual project objectives within the overall Technology plan through the marketing plan and associated budget .
Lead marketing activity, for priority Fraud and Security markets including the GSMA Fraud & Security Group, T-SAC GSMA Telecommunication Information Sharing and Analysis Center, Coordinated Vulnerability Disclosure (CVD) Programme and the Mobile Cybersecurity Database. P roduction of an agreed marketing strategy, audience identification and detailed delivery plan. Delivery of marketing activities associated with the market including internal and external messaging . S upport associated external collaborative group/community including operators, ecosystem stakeholders, sponsors and internal stakeholders .
Plan and deliver event marketing communications activity . Develop and deliver online & physical events plan with support from the wider marketing team and external partners/sponsors E.G. webinars, workshops, seminars and summits .
Plan and deliver major event marketing communications activity for MWC Barcelona, MWC Shanghai, MWC Las Vegas , focused security and regional m 360 events . Work with brand, event marketing, GSMA Ltd teams and sponsors to achieve marketing & PR objectives for major events .
About You
You will be a result s focused senior marketing manager able to work comfortably at a strategic level with supporting internal, external team members and senior industry partners.
You will have notable experience of technology and/or mobile industry marketing.
You will have demonstrable experience of delivering business events including webinars and exhibitions.
You will prefer deliver marketing projects with cross functional teams, rather than managing a direct team of reports.
You will thrive on working within in a small, motivated team with a team first ethos .
You will c ontribute fully to all reporting activity required by the organisation in a timely fashion, as required , including the reporting schedule and the budget reporting schedule.
Ideally m arketing experience of digital projects , using both content management and database marketing systems physic such as Salesforce .
