We are seeking a passionate Senior MLOps Engineer to join our team and work along data scientists to deliver Data Science solutions. You will help discover and implement innovative solutions for our ML projects to enable rapid experimentation, increase accuracy of our models and ensure high quality of our products. You will be part of a collaborative team that is integral to establishing the environments and processes to quickly build and deploy ML solutions into production.

You will play a key role in driving our ambition to create a best-in-class MLOps engineering team, environment, and culture. What you’ll do

• Build and maintain high-quality, reliable data solutions and own it with a high degree of automation in the cloud.
• Collaborate with Data Science team members to develop ML solutions making use of repeatable frameworks/patterns (e.g. orchestration, model management, integration with wider data ecosystem, etc).
• Follow CICD best practices to add automation to projects to enable faster deployments.
• Act as gatekeeper for quality of data science projects before they go into production.
• Improve the quality of code by adhering to established software engineering principles and coding standards.
• Carry out production ML deployments of projects and fulfil any change management obligations (knowledge transfer sessions with wider ops team, write short SOPs for common failures, etc).
• Support of existing ML production solutions working closely with ops engineers and data science team to triage any production issues that can’t be solved by first line support. Work with 3rd party engineers when required (e.g. Databricks, Microsoft).
• Support other ML engineers to produce clean, quality code through code reviews and pair programming.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ML pipelines that adhere to ETL principles and business goals.
• Promote technology, innovation, values, and ways of working within the team and wider community.
• Active participation and contribution to technical forums with a focus on positive momentum.
• Help lead initiatives to take M&S MLOps Engineering to the next level by challenging the status quo.

Who you are

• Demonstrable experience in cloud-based data technologies and data warehousing design principles, preferably Azure.
• Articulable understanding of design/building end-to-end ML solutions.
• Solid experience with ETL tools, Databricks, SQL.
• Demonstrable experience in building end-to-end ML systems and ML Lifecycle (Feature engineering, monitoring, testing, deployment).
• Solid experience in ML and AI concepts.
• Solid experience with Python/Spark.
• Proven expertise with distributed version controls systems like GitHub.
• Good knowledge of Continuous integration and Continuous Delivery, Github Actions and Azure Pipelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adjust for different audiences.
