The opportunity has arisen for a hands-on Senior Full Stack NodeJS Developer to join an expanding organisation with limited technical debt that is putting technology first in a number of exciting business transformation and expansion programmes. The role also offers the benefit of being mostly remote with the option to work from the office whenever desired.

THE ROLE: Senior NodeJS Developer Full Stack

Our client seeks an experienced and hands on Senior NodeJS Integration Engineer to build and maintain integrations between 3rd party and internal systems. The individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the integration architecture and solutions that enable the smooth flow of data and functionality between different software systems. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, understanding business requirements, and implementing integration solutions to enhance overall system efficiency.

You will have a firm grasp of emerging technologies and become the SME for the team, imparting knowledge to others and ensuring that documentation maintained to a high standard.

• Provide technical leadership in designing and implementing integration strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Oversee and lead complex integration projects from conception to completion.
• Architect and design scalable and robust integration solutions, considering long-term system sustainability and flexibility.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects to align integration strategies with overall IT architecture.
• Mentor and guide junior integration engineers, providing technical expertise, best practices, and constructive feedback.
• Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and training programs for the integration team.
• Establish and enforce integration governance policies, standards, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements in integration solutions.
• Collaborate with technical business analysts, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure successful integration outcomes.
• Act as a point of contact for technical discussions with internal and external partners.
• Evaluate and recommend new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance integration capabilities.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for integration solutions, architectures, and processes.
• Establish and maintain a knowledge repository for the integration team.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Senior NodeJS Developer Full Stack

• Proven experience within an integration engineering focused role
• Proven experience in designing and implementing complex integration solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of integration technologies, middleware, and best practices.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Node.js, TypeScript, Express, or others commonly used in integration.
• Experience with API design, RESTful APIs, and other integration protocols.
• Ideally some knowledge of Azure cloud technologies and Terraform IaC
• Knowledge of data integration patterns and ETL processes is important for effectively moving and transforming data between different systems.
• Understanding cloud security best practices, data privacy laws, and compliance standards.
• Knowledge of network architectures, including VPNs, CDN, and DNS, and a good understanding of system architectures and how different components interact within the cloud.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
