What we’re looking for in Hometrack Quality Engineers:

• You’re excited by the challenge of testing software at scale and have a solid track record working as part of a team, previous experience in setting test strategy and shipping high quality software.
• You’re happy to guide your cross-functional team in contemporary quality principles, from theory through to practical solutions.
• You know what could/should be automated and what would be better tested by a human, and you have solid experience with both. If needed, you can create performant, and scalable automated checking solutions.
• You’re inquisitive by nature, and you have a desire to get stuck-in with testing at all stages of your product’s lifecycle, from investigating and discussing initial ideas, right through to driving focus on pragmatic and scalable automated regression checking solutions. It would be nice to have performance test experience.

Skills and experience

• Working with Agile development methodologies such as Kanban/Scrum and Azure DevOps/Jira tools.
• Knowledge of the STLC, automated testing methodologies, strategies, techniques and tools.
• Contributing to user stories, acceptance criteria and participating in 3 amigos sessions.
• Experience with a shift-left approach to quality.
• Experience building and maintaining automation test frameworks from scratch.
• Understand SOLID principles and design patterns to produce clean, readable and highly maintainable code.
• SQL knowledge and understanding of writing relational database queries.
• Working with cloud-based technologies such as Azure.
• Mentoring QA’s on automation frameworks, tools and performing code reviews.

• C# / .NET Framework and .NET Core environments.
• BDD tools and techniques: SpecFlow, Gherkin
• API and UI testing: Postman, Restsharp, Selenium WebDriver, Playwright.
• Unit testing: NUnit, MS Test, Moq
• Performance Testing: k6.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Azure DevOps, Octopus for builds and deployment.
• Database: SQL Server.
• Messaging: Azure Service Bus.
• Observability tools: NewRelic, Prometheus.
• Version control: Git
• Experience working with Agile development methodologies such as Kanban/Agile and Azure DevOps/Jira tools
• You’ll work in a truly cross-functional, agile engineering team, alongside a quality engineer, data analyst, product manager, designer, and delivery manager, all within a single team.
