Senior Quantitative Analyst – LNG Full Time

Idex is representing a global Commodity Trader and Energy producer who is seeking to appoint a Senior Quantitative Analyst for their London office – specifically in the LNG team.

As a Senior Quantitative Analyst, you will have a crucial role in driving profitability through P&L analysis, price forecasting, and developing risk systems that ensure my client remains competitive in the market.

Working in a team of 6 Analytical professionals globally, you can expect to own various Modelling projects focused on their LNG products.

This is a collaborative team, where you will have the support of an experienced Head of Quant.

Further responsibilities:
In-depth data modelling and implementation
Stochastic and Time-Series Analysis
Building models for valuations and trading activities
Price forecasting
Support on hedging strategies

To be a success in this role, you will need a background in the Energy market (ideally Gas/LNG) in an Analytical role. Python OR R coding ability is a prerequisite but ideally you will have experience using C++.
