Engage Talent Partners are working with our award winning oil and gas client to source and recruit a Service Desk Analyst in Aberdeen.

The company is a well established business with a global network of offices and projects within the energy sector. You would be joining the company at an exciting time as they continue to rapidly grow and succeed year after year.

You will be responsible for developing, implementing and operating a service desk to support users. You will have a good understanding of IT systems and assist users using both software and hardware systems throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for technical issues on the internal helpdesk and resolve any issues.
• First and second line of support for all internal IT queries across the business
• User support for the complete IT network
• Measure and report against key performance indicators (KPI’s)
• Training of new employee on company software, systems and network
• Manage support call queries and have a good understanding of procedure
• Ensuring the safety of all IT equipment – advising and organising upgrades and change where necessary
• Advising the Group ICT Manager of any required changes and upgrades in software and hardware which could affect the company performance
• Dealing with technical issues from various global locations
• Control use of network ensuring computer users are respectful of the company policy
• Documentation of procedures to concur with QA/IMS system

The ideal candidate will have good Interpersonal skills, IT understanding and relevant experience from education and/or a previous role. They will be confident in the use of Microsoft technology and have had some experience in desktop support, both hardware and software. It would be an advantage if you have The Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) awareness and knowledge of Microsoft AX.
