Shift Engineer -Electrical bias Full Time

My Client is looking for an electrically biased engineer to join a critical maintenance team at a datacentre that powers one of the UKS leading banking organizations.

Shift rotation is on 4 on 4 off rota (Days & nights)
7am – 7pm and 7 pm – 7 am
Salary: up to 48K

This role focuses on maintaining and optimizing electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation plant systems with responsibilities including:

• Performing maintenance, repairs, and calibration to ensure reliability
• Meeting key performance indicators and service standards
• Coordinating with external contractors and suppliers when needed
• Completing required documentation and reports accurately and on time
• Adhering to company policies and safety procedures
• Reporting deficiencies in work systems or equipment

Requirements and Skills

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification in Engineering Maintenance
• Knowledge of building Statutory Compliance
• Understanding of Health and Safety at Work Act (1974)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Specialized Experience (Highly Desirable)

• Experience with critical assets like UPS and Standby Generators
• Low Voltage Appointed Person certification
