iwoca Ltd
Tech Talent Partner – 6-month FTC
Hybrid in London / Remote within the UK
We’re looking for a Tech Talent Partner (6-month Fixed Term Contract)
You’ll recruit for the Tech, Analytics, and Product teams. You’ll drive the process from sourcing to hire, while refining methods and championing diversity. With sharp emotional intelligence, and a data-driven mindset, you’ll create outstanding candidate experiences.
The company
Fast, flexible finance empowers small businesses to manage their cash flow better and seize opportunities – making their business and the economy stronger as a whole. At iwoca, we do just that. We help businesses get the funds they need, when they need it, often within minutes. We’ve already made several billion in funding available to more than 100,000 businesses since we launched in 2012, and positioned ourselves as a leading Fintech in Europe.
Our mission is to finance one million businesses. We’ll get there by continuing to make our finance ever more relevant and accessible to more businesses by combining cutting-edge technology, data science, and a 5-star customer service.
The team
The People Operations team creates and applies strategies to help iwoca attract, develop, and keep top talent. There are five other recruiters, and we use tools like Ashby, LinkedIn Recruiter and Otta to source talent and manage our pipelines. We’re progressive, innovative, data-driven, and are always pushing for a higher bar, to improve the standards in clear and measurable ways.
The role
This role focuses on hiring for the Tech, Analytics, and Product (TAP) team:
Full life cycle recruitment: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from salary benchmarking, candidate sourcing, screening interviews, tech tests, interviews, debriefs, offers, negotiations, acceptance, and pre-onboarding. You will collect and share feedback at each stage.
Stakeholder partnership: Partner with hiring managers and senior leaders to understand job needs, write job descriptions, advise on the best hiring strategies, and ensure smooth interview processes for the hiring team and the candidates.
Improving processes: Regularly review and refine recruitment methods, using data to confirm techniques that boost efficiency, minimise bias and enhance the candidate experience.
The requirements
Essential:
Expertise in recruiting back-end engineers (iwoca uses Python, Django, and Rust).
Emotional intelligence; you ask insightful questions, listen carefully, show empathy, and build good relationships with candidates and stakeholders.
Highly organised, pragmatic, and able to prioritise effectively.
An Applicant Tracking System (ATS) superuser (ideally with Ashby).
Bonus:
Experience recruiting data scientists, data engineers, product staff, full-stack developers and front-end developers.
Ability to identify better ways to source candidates and are willing to “test and learn” from new approaches, showing patience and flexibility in adapting to the results.
Tech savvy, comfortable with numbers and using Google Sheets, and able to use data to improve the hiring process. You’re familiar with a data-driven recruitment approach.
The salary
We expect to pay from £40,000 – £60,000 for this role. But, we’re open-minded, so definitely include your salary goals with your application. We routinely benchmark salaries against market rates, and run quarterly performance and salary reviews.
