The Opportunity:

Our client are operating at the forefront of technological innovation and following a period of continued growth, they are now seeking to attract a talented Cloud-focused Telecoms and Voice Systems Engineer to join their dynamic and expanding team based in the Salford Quays area of Manchester.

Skills and Experience:

* 3-5 years of Linux administration experience (CentOS preferred, other OS’s considered)

* Programming skills in Java, Python and/or JavaScript

* Understanding of Web Services and the ability to provide support

* Proficiency in relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL and MSSQL

* Working knowledge of TCP, UDP, SIP and VoIP technologies

* Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and problem-solving

* Excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail

* Familiarity with REST, Asynchronous Messaging queues, along with Spring, Hibernate and Maven

* Cloud technology experience with Kubernetes and Docker (on-premises)

* Exposure to programming languages such as Perl and PHP

* Knowledge of NoSQL databases like Redis and PostgreSQL replication

* Datacentre management, server racking, and network patching experience

* Exposure to projects like Asterisk PBX, Kamailio SIP Server, FreePBX and OpenSIPS
