UX-UI Lead (UK) Full Time

As an UX/UI Lead, you will help to plan, shape and deliver the direction of the product, facing multiple challenges every day. Some of the responsibilities we are looking for are:

The impact you’ll make:

User Research

• Preparing research plans, hypotheses/opportunity framing, assumptions mapping.
• Can support and run unmoderated/moderated studies with autonomy.
• Ability to effectively synthesize findings from research/data, to drive product decisions and iterations.
• Able to articulate rationale for UX decisions, based on best-practice, research/data avail, experience.
• Strong ability to wireframe and rapid prototype at pace, to explore many suitable options to test.
• Appreciates the need to balance customer, business, and delivery needs in a pragmatic way.

UI Design

• Strong sense of visual design to create visually appealing/intuitive user interfaces, w/ clear rationale.
• Has knowledge of UI best-practice approaches for Web, to suggest relevant options.
• Maintains a high level of quality and attention to detail in all UI deliverables (interactions, states etc).
• Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate implementation of UI designs.
• Ability to work without a design system (WIP), and design based-off existing design foundations.
• Collaborates effectively w/ other designers across org, proactively seeking feedback/alignment.

Technology stack:

• Figma
• Storybook
• Hotjar
• UserTesting (doesn’t have to be these tools, but experience with similar tools is required).
• Online white-boarding tools (Figjam / MURAL / Miro) or similar.

What you’ll bring to us:

• +6 years of experience as professional UX/UI Designer. (with experience designing for Web products).
• Experienced UX/UI Lead expected to lead the design function across initiatives/projects.
• Help drive the design vision for the client’s platform.
• Create a customer-led/research-first mindset.
• Lead 2 existing designers already working on the team.
• Ensure involvement in the wider client’s initiatives to bring consistency to design and UX across all products.
• A holistic thinker who’s able to consider the bigger picture and the wider impact of their decisions.
• Able to work in ambiguity (lack of formed design system and defined processes depending on stage).
• Strong prototyping and design with Figma.
• Strong proactive attitude.
• Making quick decisions to make better ones.
• Appreciates the benefits of diverging and considering many options before converging on a top few.
• Pro-activity and leadership, suggesting ways forward to the PO as the design specialist.
• Strong ability to work with many stakeholders to get business input, and contribute to the roadmap.
• Open to feedback/suggestions and can iterate and factor new findings/data/constraints into work.
• Encourages and invites ideas and contributions from the product and dev team.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
