Our client is a leading quantitative hedge fund in the cryptocurrency space, utilising high-frequency trading techniques to deliver exceptional Market Making services. They partner with groundbreaking cryptocurrency projects globally, operating seamlessly across on- and off-chain exchanges.

Position Overview: Our client are seeking a dynamic Web3/Trading Analyst to join our Treasury Advisory team. This role is crucial in managing relationships and treasury management advisory for top Web3 teams and projects.

You will conduct due diligence & research, advise on tokenomics and go to market strategy, and work closely with traders and market making teams to build and manage client treasuries and engage closely with the client on pre and post go-to-market strategies. Your work will help ensure clients’ internal treasuries are growing and intact, while providing effective advisory on the overall growth of their business and/or product.

Key Responsibilities:

• Treasury Management Advisory:
  • Working and collaborating closely with trading and market making teams to both structure treasury management strategies and communicate/articulate them clearly to the client
  • Ability to articulate rationale and manage communication behind trading or treasury management decisions
  • Oversee client onboarding activities, perform project due diligence, and manage client relationships and communication with a high level of responsiveness and charm.
• Investment Analysis and Strategy:
  • Develop sharp investment perspectives on categories and companies, justifying investments with a clear understanding of disruptive market technology trends.
  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence on accelerator applicants, evaluating their team, products, technologies, go-to-market plans, competitive positions, and addressable markets.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of market trends, develop market maps, and target potential investment opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Head Analyst and other teams in advising on fundraising, Token Economics, GTM, Marketing, Community, Partnerships and Token Launch Strategy and more.
• Market Research and Sector Competency:
  • Oversee market research activities, ensuring the development of core competencies across Web3 sectors (DeFi, DePin, AI, GameFi, RWA, infrastructure, NFTs).
  • Support market research to enable informed investment decisions and targeted outreach.
• Startup Support and Go-to-market Strategy:
  • Work alongside startups to deliver success for Web3 startups – including but not limited to tokenomics, go-to-market strategy, and treasury management advisory.
  • Assist with market research, business strategy, fundraising strategy, and core material creation for pre-seed/seed and pre-sale startups.
  • Build networks and enable cohort growth and excellence.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

• Experience and Expertise:
  • Has 2-5 years of operational or investment experience within Web3 (preferably early stage), including financial modelling, diligence, valuation, go-to-market strategy and treasury management recommendations.
  • Alternatively (or in conjunction with) 2-5 years of experience in or adjacent to trading, market making, or econometric modelling.
  • Possesses a solid understanding or fundamental knowledge of the nuances of Web3, crypto, and blockchain concepts and ecosystems or web3 product management experience.
• Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to listen intently, understand problems and concerns, and synthesise solutions using input from trading and tech teams
  • Demonstrates genuine intellectual curiosity and the ability to learn and explain new concepts quickly.
  • Can grasp complex information, form sharp viewpoints, and communicate them clearly while managing client expectations and satisfaction.
  • Ability to pivot on the fly.
