Description

• Lead investment due diligence across alternative UCITS and global hedge fund managers
• Analyse and monitor a wide spectrum of strategies, with a strong focus on liquid alternatives including derivatives and quantitative models
• Conduct single security analysis within multi-asset portfolios
• Support client-focused activities by contributing to internal documentation and liaising with the Sales team
• Attend key industry meetings and conferences
• Conduct detailed financial analysis and prepare investment research reports.
• Evaluate market trends and economic data to identify investment opportunities.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers to align research with investment strategies.
• Monitor and assess the performance of existing investment portfolios.
• Prepare presentations and reports for internal stakeholders and clients.
• Stay informed about regulatory changes impacting the financial services industry.
• Support the development of investment strategies through data-driven insights.

Profile

A successful Senior Investment Research Analyst should have:

• A strong academic background in finance, economics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools.
• Experience in asset management or investment research within the financial services sector.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of market trends and regulatory frameworks in the financial services industry.
• Strong exposure to hedge fund strategies, including fixed income, equity long/short, and quant approaches
• Quantitative proficiency in assessing managers’ performance, risk, and strategy differentiation
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with precision and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and documentation skills-comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders
