Role Title: XDP Intelligent Search – Business Analyst

Location: London – 2-3 days

Duration: 31/12/2026
Pay Rate: £358 per day

Role Description:

The Business Analyst will play a critical role in defining and delivering a Client-wide Intelligent Search capability, shifting from traditional keyword-based search to an AI-powered conversational experience. This role involves gathering requirements, analysing business needs, and supporting the development of a strategy and architecture that enables multi-modal, contextual, and explainable search across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Vision Support
Collaborate with stakeholders to define the vision and strategy for Intelligent Search.
Document the role of XDP as a platform within the strategy.
Research and incorporate industry trends and best practices into recommendations.
Assist in defining the operating model for adoption and ongoing management.

Requirements Gathering & Analysis
Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for Intelligent Search capabilities.
Translate strategic objectives into functional and non-functional requirements.
Ensure requirements align with future-state reference architecture and BU transition paths.

Solution Features & Capabilities
Work with architects and product teams to ensure solutions support:
Multi-modal search (text, voice, etc.)
Contextual awareness
Explainable AI-driven results

Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a liaison between business units, technology teams, and architecture groups.
Facilitate workshops and discussions to drive alignment and adoption.

Delivery Support
Support lean, autonomous squads with strong domain expertise.
Contribute to fast deployment by ensuring clarity and completeness of requirements.

Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Business Analyst in large-scale enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of search technologies, AI/ML concepts, and information retrieval.
Expertise in requirements elicitation, process modelling, and documentation.
Familiarity with operating models, reference architectures, and transition planning.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with XDP or similar platforms.
Knowledge of financial services domain and regulatory considerations.
Exposure to Agile delivery models and cross-functional squads.
