Synergize Consulting are partnering with a global IT organisation who are actively expanding their systems team. We are looking for a mid-level SQL Systems Analyst (5-8 years’ experience) with strong exposure to London Market insurance systems and business processes.

This role is ideal for someone who has worked closely with underwriting, policy administration, or claims systems, and can operate independently while engaging with business stakeholders and technical teams.

The Role

You will support and enhance a business-critical insurance platform, acting as a bridge between business users and technical teams, with a strong focus on SQL-driven analysis, issue resolution, and system improvements.

You’ll be expected to take ownership of issues end-to-end and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and troubleshoot day-to-day system and data issues across insurance platforms
• Work closely with underwriters, operations, and business users
• Own and manage issues independently from investigation through to resolution
• Analyse incidents and deliver fixes/enhancements using SQL
• Interpret business requirements and translate them into practical solutions
• Write and optimise SQL queries (SQL Server/Oracle)
• Support UAT, releases, and ongoing system improvements
• Produce clear documentation and share knowledge across the team

Essential Experience

• 5-8 years’ experience in Systems Analysis/Application Support/Business Systems roles
• Strong SQL skills (SQL Server or Oracle)
• Experience within London Market insurance (ESSENTIAL)
• Exposure to policy admin, underwriting, or claims systems
• Proven ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Strong understanding of how systems are used by business teams in practice
• Confident working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
