Computer Engineer Full Time

Our client, a market-leading manufacturer in their sector, is looking to recruit a Computer Engineer to join their dynamic IT team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing 1st and 2nd line support to around 500 internal users across a wide range of IT systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1st and 2nd line support for both hardware and software issues
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems with PCs, servers, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and networks
• Support Windows-based environments and manufacturing-specific IT systems
• Collaborate with 1st and 3rd line teams to escalate and resolve more complex technical issues
• Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues
• Maintain and update IT documentation, including asset registers and user guides
• Assist with IT projects, system upgrades, and rollouts
• Support network infrastructure including switches, routers, and Wi-Fi
• Ensure compliance with IT security and data protection policies

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in 1st and 2nd line IT support roles
• Strong troubleshooting skills with PCs, laptops, printers, and barcode scanners
• Excellent communication skills able to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Exposure to manufacturing or industrial IT systems (highly desirable)
• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
