A major UK utilities company is seeking a Data Platform Lead to drive their ambitious data platform transformation. This is a unique opportunity to lead cutting-edge data architecture projects and manage a team of data engineers in a pioneering hybrid infrastructure environment.

Your Role

• Lead and manage a team of data hub engineers to develop the target data platform
• Drive stakeholder engagement across diverse operational colleagues and business units
• Champion platform design, configuration, and maintenance across delivery teams
• Own the vision and roadmap for centralized data capability
• Evangelize cutting-edge technology solutions and promote data platform adoption

Essential Requirements

• Extensive Azure ecosystem expertise and Azure DevOps mastery
• Strong Databricks understanding and Python programming background
• Team management experience with proven leadership track record
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement abilities across technical and business audiences
• Azure training/certifications essential
• Experience building enterprise data platforms
• Databricks certified data engineer highly desirable
