Engineering Manager (Vendor Management Cloud, DevOps, Data, Project Management) – London / Hybrid

• Contract: 1 year (Inside IR35)
• Rate: Competitive day rate
• Location: London (Hounslow, 2 days per week onsite, with travel flexibility)
• Start: Immediate

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager with a strong software engineering background, hands-on expertise in Cloud, DevOps, Testing, and modern data/streaming platforms, combined with project management experience.

This role is not about direct line management or day-to-day implementation-it’s about holding vendors accountable, driving progress, and ensuring high-quality technical delivery. You’ll be the bridge between technical leadership and project oversight, ensuring consultancies deliver on time, to spec, and with the right level of quality.

What you’ll bring:

• Proven track record in vendor management – driving, reviewing, and holding external partners accountable.
• Strong technical expertise in Cloud, DevOps, SWE, and testing practices.
• Experience with data/streaming platforms highly desirable.
• Project management experience – able to plan, track, and deliver complex technical initiatives.
• Ability to balance technical depth with strategic project oversight.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and influencing skills.
