Our team comprises individuals with deep knowledge of financial services and related technology.

WebN Group is majority owned by Alan Howard, who is the majority owner of Brevan Howard, a global asset manager. WebN Group, with its focus on Web3, was formed in late 2021. The team has already incubated a number of businesses such as Twinstake, a non-custodial staking services provider, and TruFin a decentralised finance protocol. In addition to business incubation, WebN Group has also a venture arm for pre-seed, seed and Series A investments, with a particular focus on projects utilising zero-knowledge proof technology.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As Head of Marketing working independently, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our multi-dimensional incubation hub for Web3 technologies and crypto innovation, as well as our portfolio businesses. You will be responsible for overseeing and executing marketing strategies across various channels, crafting compelling copy, and supporting our brand narrative. You have a dynamic mindset and are highly alert as to the fast-changing crypto industry, with the ability to adjust accordingly. You are a quick executor and like to get things done on time. Most importantly, you are a self-driven, creative and strategic thinker with a passion for digital marketing and outreach, and you thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environments.

WHAT YOU’RE GOOD AT:

Marketing Strategy and Planning:

• Develop comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the goals of the incubation hub and portfolio companies
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify target audiences, establish key performance indicators (KPIs), and create data-driven marketing plans
• Conduct market research to identify trends and insights that will inform marketing strategies

Multi-Channel Marketing Execution:

• Oversee the execution of marketing campaigns across various channels, such as social media, email, content marketing, influencer partnerships, and more
• Optimize marketing efforts to maximize reach, engagement, and conversions
• Thought Leadership: position key executives as thought leaders in the industry through speaking engagements, byline articles, and other thought leadership initiatives
• Event Management: plan and execute PR events, press conferences, product launches, and media tours to generate media coverage and raise awareness

Copywriting and Content Creation:

• Craft compelling and impactful copy for marketing materials, website content, press releases, and other communications
• Ensure that all written content is consistent with the brand voice and messaging guidelines

Brand Management:

• Maintain and enhance the brand image of the incubation hub and portfolio companies
• Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all marketing materials and communications

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Monitor and analyse marketing performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns
• Provide regular reports and insights to the management team for data-driven decision-making

Budget Management:

• Manage the marketing budget efficiently, allocating resources to initiatives with the highest impact

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with the incubation team, entrepreneurs, engineers, and researchers to support their marketing needs
• Collaborate with other departments to align marketing efforts with overall business objectives

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
• Proven experience in a generalist marketing role, with a strong focus in B2B digital marketing strategies
• Solid understanding of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies, as well as crypto social media marketing and community building
• Excellent copywriting skills and the ability to adapt the tone and style to various audiences
• Strong knowledge of marketing channels and digital marketing tools
• Some experience with PR, media relations, and handling press inquiries would be advantageous
• Data-driven mindset, with the ability to analyse performance metrics and make data-backed decisions
• Proficiency in project management and multitasking, working on multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Creativity and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest marketing trends and industry developments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and influencers
• Be technology-savvy and have a passion for start-ups and fintech
• Ability to understand a new industry and its target audience quickly
