Our client is seeking a Puppet Specialist to design, implement, and support automation solutions using Puppet Enterprise. This role will work closely with customers, internal teams, and the wider open-source community to enable faster, more reliable software delivery, deliver training, and contribute to product development and integration efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work directly with customers to design and implement automation solutions with Puppet.
• Deliver Puppet training and workshops, ensuring content accuracy with evolving products and customer needs.
• Provide pre-sales technical support to Sales & Marketing teams.
• Develop, publish, and maintain Puppet modules and related products.
• Design and promote integration tooling for Puppet products.
• Collaborate with R&D and Product Management on product development and testing.
• Contribute technical blogs and other communications to support the Puppet community.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Solid experience with Puppet Enterprise.
• 5+ years’ experience in DevOps, Systems Administration, Automation, or Network Infrastructure.
• Strong Unix/Linux system administration and automation skills.
• Excellent time and project management abilities.
• Strong customer relations and presentation skills, with experience engaging customers in person, by phone, and via virtual meetings.
• Logical problem-solving skills to evaluate alternative solutions.
• Technical degree (CS/IT/Engineering/IT Security) or equivalent experience.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

• Puppet Certification(s)
• Programming skills in Ruby, Python, Go, or similar.
• Windows systems administration experience, including PowerShell.
• Large-scale infrastructure experience.
• Knowledge of data centre, systems management, monitoring, networking, and security.
• Professional services experience in an open-source enterprise software company.
