We’re looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to roll up their sleeves and transform Focaldata into a world-class research brand. The right candidate will have a passion for building an outstanding marketing operation from the ground up. The role will combine strategic planning and tactical execution with execution making up 75% of the work. You’ll contribute to marketing strategy, and own the content roadmap and all marketing and brand activities. You’ll speak to customers to find the most engaging topics to focus on, you’ll understand our funnel and metrics at a granular level to identify where we need to focus, and you’ll collaborate with product, research, design and sales on content and campaign execution.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Own and build our growth engine. Launch, track, and optimize programmes/campaigns across multiple channels to move prospects and customers down the funnel. This means owning analytics and marketing ops and optimising our website to convert more prospects.
Executing a content strategy and grid that makes Focaldata famous. Own the content and event calendar and tell the story of the brand and company to engage prospects and customers. This means coordinating creators on the team, editing content, and ensuring a strong feedback loop about what’s working and what’s not. We currently produce a bi-monthly newsletter, occasional whitepapers, and regular product and clients news updates – and we’re looking to expand this significantly in the next 6-12 months during the 2024 election cycles in the UK, EU and US.
Position and market our product and services. Communicate about our platform and services and their benefits to our audience. This will range from creating sales collateral – like decks and case studies – to refining our messaging and positioning, planning and executing product launches and publishing product updates or ROI and competitor analyses.
Manage our brand and PR. Establish brand standards for the company and create digital, print, and video assets that align with the brand and support business goals. Maintain relationships and communicate with press/media about the company, product, team, and brand, and secure placement for our content.
Build a marketing operation. Hire and manage staff to execute against our marketing roadmap and plan – as well as recruiting and managing a network of freelancers who can unlock opportunities rapidly.
