A leading Data & AI Transformation Consultancy is expanding its AI practice and is looking for an experienced AI Architect (Senior, Consulting Solution Architect) to help design and deliver sophisticated AI solutions at enterprise scale.

This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of Generative AI, Agentic AI, and Large Language Models, helping clients turn ambitious AI strategies into robust, production-ready solutions. You’ll play a key role across the full life cycle, from solution design and client engagement through to technical leadership and delivery oversight.

This role would suit someone who combines deep technical expertise with architectural thinking and enjoys remaining hands-on with technology while influencing wider AI strategy and best practice.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Architect end-to-end AI and LLM solutions spanning data, platforms, integrations, infrastructure, and deployment.
• Design agentic and multi-agent AI architectures, defining how models, tools, APIs, and retrieval mechanisms work together.
• Support client engagements from discovery and solution design through to implementation and delivery.
• Provide technical governance and oversight across multiple AI initiatives.
• Define approaches for prompting, RAG, fine-tuning, evaluation, and AI guardrails.
• Establish MLOps and LLMOps capabilities to ensure solutions are scalable, observable, secure, and production-ready.
• Create architectural standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices across the AI practice.
• Embed responsible AI principles, governance, security, and risk management into solution designs.

Essential Experience

• Proven experience in AI Architecture or AI Engineering, with a track record of delivering AI solutions into production environments.
• Deep understanding of Large Language Models, agent frameworks, orchestration patterns, and API-driven architectures.
• Strong cloud platform and modern software engineering experience.
• Hands-on expertise in MLOps/LLMOps, including deployment automation, monitoring, evaluation, and optimisation.
• Strong Python development skills and the ability to prototype and validate technical approaches.
• Experience balancing multiple projects and stakeholders while managing technical risk and delivery priorities.

Desirable Experience

• Previous consultancy, professional services, or pre-sales experience.
• Experience delivering AI solutions within regulated environments such as Financial Services, Healthcare, or the Public Sector.
• Knowledge of vector databases, knowledge graphs, and advanced retrieval techniques.
• Cloud, AI, or architecture-related certifications.
