Trading Analyst

We are working with a leading global energy and commodities business that is seeking a Trading Analyst to join its growing biofuels trading team in London.

The successful candidate will support sustainability operations across the biofuels supply chain, managing mass-balance accounting, certification, audits and feedstock traceability, while also providing analytical and commercial support to the wider trading team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage sustainability mass-balance activities across the biofuels supply chain.
• Maintain sustainability documentation and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and certification requirements.
• Support the optimisation and management of certified sustainable products and feedstock balances.
• Work with suppliers, counterparties and certification bodies to ensure feedstock traceability.
• Coordinate sustainability certifications and support audit processes.
• Monitor regulatory developments and support the implementation of new compliance requirements.
• Contribute to sustainability, digitalisation and traceability projects.
• Provide market analysis, reporting and ad hoc commercial analysis to support trading activities.

Requirements

• Experience within sustainability, biofuels, renewable fuels, commodities or a related industry.
• Strong understanding of sustainability certification, traceability and renewable fuel regulations.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with suppliers, customers and internal teams.
• Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, IT or another quantitative discipline.
